What is silver metal clay?

Silver metal clay is a jewellery-making material made from tiny particles of silver mixed with water and an organic binder. Before firing, it can be shaped and textured like clay, allowing intricate details such as the daisy’s petals to be formed.

During firing, the water and binder are removed and the silver particles fuse together, leaving a solid silver piece. The finished pendant is silver, not clay with a silver coating. This process combines the freedom of sculpting with the lasting beauty of precious metal.
